Founded in 2011, Byte Lab Group is an engineering group specializing in the development and industrialization of complex electronic and connected products. With more than 150 professionals and offices in Croatia and Austria, the company combines embedded hardware and firmware development, sensor integration, wireless connectivity, Edge AI technologies, mobile and cloud software development, prototyping, testing, and low-volume manufacturing.

Byte Lab also develops its own product, Gasread, a battery-powered smart gas metering device that adds wireless connectivity to existing gas meters via Sigfox, LoRa, or NB-IoT. Built-in tamper and device-removal detection, overconsumption alarms, a battery life of approximately ten years, and IP67 protection demonstrate the same security-focused engineering approach that Byte Lab applies across all its projects, showcasing its ability to deliver robust, field-ready connected hardware.
