The redevelopment of the Žnjan Plateau in Split has delivered a higher-quality public space while also showcasing a modern and efficiently organized parking system. Spanning approximately 150,000 square meters, the area has been transformed into a multifunctional zone with sports, recreational, and hospitality facilities, requiring adequate parking infrastructure. The project provides a total of 1,000 parking spaces, with half located in an underground garage and the rest on open parking areas. The parking solution was implemented by ECCOS, which integrated multiple technologies for traffic management and space optimization.

LPR cameras for license plate recognition have been installed at ten entry and exit points, enabling faster vehicle flow through the system. In addition, more than 60 LED displays provide real-time information on available spaces and guide drivers accordingly.

System efficiency is further enhanced by sensors installed above each parking space, using color indicators to display occupancy status and space type. User safety is supported by a video surveillance system with over 85 IP cameras, while parking payment is handled through automated machines supporting both cash and card transactions. Integration of solutions from Skidata enables centralized management of access control, payment, and occupancy monitoring.

The entire system is further connected to the ESCEP platform, contributing to the digitalization of city services and the development of smart city concepts. This approach enables more efficient infrastructure management while providing a faster and more user-friendly parking experience. The a&s Adria SE Europe Roadshow 2026 successfully concluded in Belgrade after connecting the security industry across Podgorica, Tirana, Pristina, and finally the Serbian capital over the course of one week. The roadshow kicked off in Podgorica, where more than 50 industry professionals attended presentations and discussions on the future of security technologies. Opening remarks were delivered by representatives of ONVIF and the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro, while leading companies showcased the latest solutions and trends.

The Tirana stop continued with strong attendance and a dynamic atmosphere, featuring active participation from experts and technology leaders. Hikvision Adriatic/Malta organized a two-day technical training for its customers from Sarajevo, held at the Pino Nature Hotel. The event was focused on enhancing technical knowledge and practical skills in working with Hikvision solutions.

The training was led by presales engineers Elvis Ferhatović and Sadik Rovčanin, who presented key segments of the portfolio, including AX PRO and hybrid alarm systems, access control, advanced video surveillance solutions, as well as HeatPro thermal cameras. Special attention was also given to the Hik-Partner Pro app as a tool for system management and installation support.

The program combined theoretical sessions with hands-on practice, allowing participants to test the showcased technologies and better understand their application in real-world projects. Hikvision representatives emphasized that such training sessions play an important role in strengthening cooperation with partners and improving the quality of security system implementation. The two-day training concluded with positive feedback from participants, along with the announcement of upcoming educational activities in other locations across the region.

The Energy Summit conference, organized by Poslovni dnevnik, brought together leaders, experts, and innovators from the energy sector in Zagreb at the end of March. The event focused on the challenges of the energy transition, infrastructure digitalization, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence on industry development. A representative of ECCOS Engineering, Sales Engineer Tomislav Lacković, participated in the event, speaking on a panel dedicated to the role of artificial intelligence in the sustainable development of the energy sector. During the discussion, he presented concrete solutions applied in data center projects, highlighting the changes driven by the rapid development of digital infrastructure.

Lacković emphasized that traditional server racks can no longer meet the increasing demands for power consumption and thermal load, which is directly influencing how modern data centers are designed and managed. He placed particular focus on the cooling segment, where conventional air-based systems are increasingly insufficient for the needs of next-generation IT equipment.

In this context, advanced solutions leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize energy consumption and improve overall system efficiency were highlighted. This approach enables more stable infrastructure performance while significantly reducing operational costs.

EL.MO. SPA took part in a professional event held on March 24 in Rome at the Auditorium BNL, organized by securindex.com.
