Record-breaking edition for SICUREZZA 2025

Growing, strengthening, and looking increasingly abroad: SICUREZZA 2025, scheduled at Fiera Milano from November 19 to 21, is preparing for a record-breaking edition. Already today, two months before opening, exhibition space is up by 18% compared to 2023, while international exhibitors have increased by 28%, reaching 31% of the total, with companies from 24 countries. This result demonstrates the international strength of the event and its ability to interpret the new frontiers of physical and digital protection.

Thanks to a strong and qualified exhibitor presence, visitors will be able to explore innovations and previews across all sectors – video surveillance, fire prevention, access control, passive security – while also gaining insights into the directions in which the industry is evolving. Among the Italian confirmations are companies such as Inim and Tecnoalarm, while on the international front, global players of the caliber of Notifier and Hikvision make their return. Numerous new entries also testify to the event’s growing appeal: among the Italian newcomers are Gams (Bettini) and Combivox; among the international, Assa Abloy and Carrier Fire & Security stand out.

With these premises, a renewed layout, and an increasingly experiential format, SICUREZZA 2025 reaffirms itself as a laboratory of innovation in the field of security & fire, where professionals, companies, and stakeholders can share visions, strategies, and practical solutions.

A WORLD OF TECHNOLOGIES, BETWEEN INTEGRATION, CYBERSECURITY, AND CUSTOMIZATION

Digitalization, the growing use of artificial intelligence, the affirmation of data-driven logic, and the urgency of 360° cyber-resilience are redefining the boundaries of security – a new perspective that will characterize much of the exhibition offering: new video surveillance and access control systems integrated with AI, predictive monitoring solutions, advancements in video content analytics, edge-cloud platforms for distributed security, and increasingly precise control. Central will be the theme of technology integration, enabling the management of increasingly complex systems that enhance safety and operational capacity, while at the same time making protection against cyber threats more urgent.

Also in the spotlight will be developments in fire & safety technologies, with new high-sensitivity fire detection systems, wireless smoke and gas detection systems, and platforms for remote control and predictive maintenance management. Drones, too, will not be missing: they have established themselves as indispensable tools for environmental monitoring and fire prevention – not merely technological gadgets, but true autonomous platforms capable of collecting, transmitting, and analyzing data in real time.

Finally, increasingly evident is the trend toward customization of solutions: companies no longer offer just products, but position themselves as consulting partners, capable of listening to client needs and designing tailor-made, modular systems.

THREE THEMATIC DAYS, ONE SINGLE GOAL: CREATING A SYSTEM

The 2025 edition will feature a new format structured around three thematic days, designed to meet the needs of different segments of the sector. The first day of the event, November 19, will be the Cyber Day. SICUREZZA will host meetings and events focused on the growing convergence of physical and digital threats, the strategic and cross-cutting role of cybersecurity, operational strategies to protect the value chain of the entire supply chain, and of course, the market impact of the new European directives NIS 2 and CER – fundamental pillars for ensuring resilience and protection of networks, IT systems, and essential services.

November 20 will be the Security Day. Discussions will center on technologies applied in high-risk real-world contexts – transport, finance, major events, cultural heritage – with integrated solutions for video surveillance, access control, intrusion prevention, behavioral AI, and system interoperability. The day will also delve into emerging professional roles required by the market, such as Travel Security Managers or Cultural Security Managers, who combine technological, organizational, and regulatory skills in their specific fields.

November 21 will be the Job in Security Day, dedicated to fostering connections between schools, technical institutes, and companies in the security sector.

In an increasingly competitive market, companies report a shortage of adequately trained professionals, while schools and technical institutes are called upon to provide students with up-to-date, realistic tools to guide them toward future careers. Hence the need to create concrete opportunities for dialogue to bridge the gap between education and the workplace. The EDU Project will address this challenge with targeted activities: company presentations, short interviews, workshops, and dialogue spaces between students, teachers, and businesses. The program is being developed in close collaboration with exhibitors and educational institutions: the listening and needs assessment phase has already begun, aimed at defining the required profiles and key skills. The day will offer a tangible opportunity for companies and schools to meet, focusing on the specific strengths of each, and creating the conditions for a constructive and realistic dialogue.

All SICUREZZA 2025 training events will take place in the Cyber & Security Arena, a multifunctional space hosting talks, case studies, demonstrations, and roundtables featuring experts, leading companies, public bodies, and trade associations. Complementing the training program will be the Security Talks organized by the Italian trade Associations AISS, AIPS, ANIE Sicurezza, and ConFederSicurezza, focusing on regulations, trends, and future scenarios, along with ASSIV podcasts offering insights into technology, training, public-private synergies, and innovation in the private security sector.

THE VALUE OF SYNERGIES

SICUREZZA 2025 will be part of MIBA – Milan International Building Alliance, the format in which it is held simultaneously with GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition, dedicated to vertical and horizontal mobility; MADE Expo, Italy’s leading event for the construction industry; and SMART BUILDING EXPO, the exhibition for home and building automation and technology integration. Thanks to the synergies created among these events, MIBA will transform Fiera Milano into an international hub of reference for topics concerning the evolution of buildings and cities.

SICUREZZA 2017’S SPECIAL EVENTS: VERTICAL EVENTS AND TRAINING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SECURITY

While the sales campaign for the next edition of SICUREZZA continues, a busy schedule of initiatives and opportunities for professional development, organised in collaboration with specialised editors and associations, is about to be finalised.
Milan, 8 June 2017 – The sales campaign for SICUREZZA 2017 (at Fiera Milano, from 15 to 17 November 2017) is proceeding smoothly. At five months to the inauguration, the event already counts over 250 direct companies occupying the historical pavilions 5 and 7 while the third one (Pav. 3) is growing.

In addition to the exhibitors’ offering, SICUREZZA has always stood out for its content, thanks to its extensive network of partners. Its success is due to the quality of the training and updating programme and to the numerous initiatives that will highlight the changes in progress and promote topics of particular interest for the industry.

This edition will feature new events and confirm other successful ones to keep operators up-to-date with some important topics for the industry’s competitiveness.

This year, SICUREZZA 2017 has expanded its offering based on the market evolution, increasingly in balance between integration and contamination, and offers a more representative vision of the various security branches.

In 2017, the focus will be on an important and current topic: fire-fighting, from the detection of fire to its suppression. The exhibition area set up in collaboration with UMAN – Italian Association of Security and Fire-fighting Companies federated ANIMA/CONFINDUSTRIA – will collect the latest innovations on the market to promote professionals’ development and training. A place where technicians, fire-fighting and service operators, consultants, representatives of professional associations, companies, and the academic world can meet up and exchange views. An opportunity to keep up-to date and learn more about technology and fire suppression-related solutions, technical aspects, regulations, and talk about the main issues.

SICUREZZA has always paid special attention to topics such as connectivity and digitisation. Thant’s why, this year, for the first time, the event will take place simultaneously with SMART BUILDING EXPO, a project resulting from an agreement between Pentastudio – communication and marketing agency specialising in the industry of new telecommunication technologies – and Fiera Milano. The aim of this agreement is to provide an overview of the new all digital smart building concept. The evolution of this system and all related services will be showcased in an area dedicated to system integration: from connectivity to the integration with new electrical systems, from entertainment based on interaction, on-demand, and high audio-video definition, up to control systems that allow for energy efficiency. Interesting workshops will provide information on the new regulations in force and high-performance systems and will dig into public and private sectors, focusing especially on Italy’s excellence.

With the new privacy regulation, which entered into force just recently, the security market and its professionals will be forced to make some adjustments. Therefore, they must be aware of how this can affect the video surveillance sector and to which extend it will involve installers, designers, and all the companies of the industry. Ethos Media Group – editor of the magazine a&s Italy – will talk about this important issue at SICUREZZA 2017. A dedicated arena will include a busy schedule of meetups, alternating a comedy atmosphere to talk light-heartedly about risks and make them understandable to a wider audience, with a more academic and institutional one. Audit privacy is this year’s brand new initiative. Visitors and exhibitors can obtain (free of charge and directly at the fair) a preliminary verification in compliance with the company’s privacy policy and with the new European Regulation, which will enter into force on 25 May 2018 together with the penalty package. The initiative will be coordinated by Ethos Academy, which has created a team of independent expert professionals – Ethos Academy Network – selected for their high professionalism and multidisciplinary approach. The network includes well-established Italian and international senior consultants and junior consultants selected among brilliant professionals specialising in IT and legal disciplines. After every audit, the network will issue the report result to the interested person.

If IoT, smart cities, smart buildings, smart mobility, M2M, Industry 4.0, cyber attacks, and privacy are today’s main topics, S News’ talk shows will provide, for the first time at SICUREZZA, a new interpretation, which investigates their correlations, analysing the risks, possible weaknesses, and inevitable threats. Being aware of what lies behind the evolution of these systems will help us provide suitable protection systems and protect data, people, cities, and the entire system. Experts of the industry, both public and private, consultants, and managers will talk about these topics.

Nowadays, we often hear expressions like Smart City and Safe City. But are we using them appropriately? These two expressions define two abstract yet important concepts for the quality of life in urban centres and, often, for the inhabitants’ survival. Essecome/securindex will reveal at SICUREZZA 2017 the results of the Observatory on the implementation of Smart & Safe City models in Italy. With the participation of the industrial segments involved and the collaboration with university research institutes and certification bodies, the Observatory has measured the level of implementation of the international certification – ISO 37120 – proposed by the administrations of cities and regions involved in the project.

At SICUREZZA 2017, there will be time to talk about important market trends, which require a more in-depth insight.

Riding on the wave of the growing integration between ICT and security, the Village event, organised by the magazine Digitalic, has reached its third edition. A dedicated area in which important IT international players and partners of Digitalic will present the most innovative solutions in terms of cyber security products, video surveillance, IoT, storage, and connectivity.

These elements have become an essential instrument to control the territory and manage safety on roads and during special events. SICUREZZA 2017 will focus on drones within SICUREZZA Drone Expo. The initiative, organised for the second year by Mediarkè, will be dedicated to UAVs (Unmanned aerial vehicle), focusing especially on their use for Security and Safety purposes: criminal investigations, intelligence, civil protection, surveillance of migration flows, control of critical infrastructures and big events, protection of artistic heritage, monitoring of landslides and forest fires. Important Italian and international companies and UAV flight schools will participate in the dedicated exhibition area, where it will be possible to see drones at work. It will be an opportunity to see some models used by law enforcement, local police, private security firms, fire brigade, and Italian Red Cross for rescue interventions in areas hit by natural disasters.

Security in shops, shopping centres, and retail distribution is a current topic that involves not only industry operators but also the public. To meet this demand, essecome/securindex.com has contributed to establish the Associazione Laboratorio per la Sicurezza (Security Laboratory Association), which gathers retail security professional and aims at becoming a point of reference for the distribution world and defining general standards and regulations. The Laboratory will participate in SICUREZZA 2017 within the Security for Retail event. The third edition of this event will be dedicated to security solutions in commerce and large retailers. It will be an opportunity for retail professionals and technology producers to exchange their views and get an overview of tailor-made outlet solutions and dedicated vertical solutions. In brief, it will be the place where new ideas meet new requirements.

SICUREZZA 2017: AN EXTRA HALL AND A ROADSHOW FOCUSING ON INTERNATIONAL GROWTH

The SICUREZZA trade fair expands in all segments, with the two “historical” halls already fully optioned. Meanwhile, the ongoing foreign campaign, featuring presentations at all major world events, made a stop in Dubai.

Milan, 7 February 2017 – This year’s SICUREZZA, Italy’s leading event and one of the top European trade shows in the security & fire sector, is registering its most positive trend so far.

The doors will open as late as November (from 15 to 17 November 2017), and already the event promises to include a rich schedule of innovations and opportunities for industry operators.

At present, 160 direct exhibitors, about 50% of all the companies represented in 2015, have already confirmed their participation. Indeed, between confirmations and options, the show’s two traditional halls are now fully occupied. With such a wide and varied response, the planned expansion is well underway, with the event occupying Halls 3, 5 and 7.

As the companies interested in participating, whether for the first time or otherwise, keep flocking, the event is starting to take shape.

An increase is being registered in all the sectors of the security & fire industry, strengthening the trade show’s range of offerings. Video Surveillance will be represented in force by major international players and by exponents of excellence of the Italian technology sector. Moreover, in confirmation of last year’s trend, this year will see an increase in Access Control, with solutions for every area of application.

Passive Safety also features strongly, with several top locksmithing, key management and safe deposit box brands having already signed up for the event. Security smokescreen producers are also turning out in high numbers, with these systems becoming the first choice of many jewellery stores and retail outlets.

A special area and demo will be dedicated once again to drones and specific security-related solutions. Finally, the fire detection and extinguishing sector is making its first appearance in the trade show, where it requests a tailored presence in collaboration with leading associations.

“The 2017 edition is confirming the choices made, first and foremost the decision to switch to odd-numbered years. Indeed, SICUREZZA is continuing its steady growth trend of the past three years,” says Giuseppe Garri, Exhibition Manager of SICUREZZA. “Reassured by this result, we will continue to develop the project in all its aspects, in an increasing attempt to make it an instrument of growth for all industry professionals. One of the next goals is to increase the international reach of SICUREZZA. We believe it has what it takes to rank among the world’s major exhibitions, particularly in those markets, such as Southern Europe and the Balkans, that are geographically and logistically closer”.

Meanwhile, SICUREZZA continues to work on its goal of internationalization, bringing the world, and in particular Southern Europe and North Africa, to Milan, but also expanding the exhibition’s offering to foreign manufacturing excellence.
SICUREZZA is continuing to investment in its top incoming buyer project. As a result, as the exhibitors sign up, we are assessing their profiles, so as to select 200 top international buyers with high spending power deriving from the most interesting markets. Indeed, so as to optimize the presence of major buyers, SICUREZZA is once again providing its Expo Matching Program (EMP), a business networking platform that aims to match supply and demand, at the trade show, through a meticulous process of mutual profiling.

But the march towards internationalization does not stop there: SICUREZZA will also be continuing its road show, organised in collaboration with ANIE SICUREZZA, and designed to present the event at major international security shows. This initiative is garnering positive results, and will undoubtedly lead to an improvement in the show’s placement at the European and global level. The last event was on January in Dubai. On this occasion, with the contribution of ANIE SICUREZZA, the trade show presentation included an overview of the Italian market, which in 2016 registered a positive trend, partly driven by the growing demand for security technologies for industrial, commercial and residential applications.

SICUREZZA 2015: TECHNOLOGY TO PROTECT US

New market areas, products and services from top industry players with tailor-made integrated solutions. More and more on offer, and double-digit (27%) growth in foreign exhibitors
Milan, 29 September 2015 – SICUREZZA 2015, the international biennial security and fire prevention fire, will run in Italy, at Fiera Milano (Rho), from 3 to 5 November.
In the run-up to the first time the fair is being held during an odd-numbered year, SICUREZZA remains a key appointment for security and fire prevention professionals. This time it is bigger and better, with 10% more exhibition space and, most notably, a 27% rise in attendance by international exhibitors.
SICUREZZA 2015 is the first step along a path that will continue in the next editions, in 2017 and 2019, with a greater number of market areas represented to reflect an increasingly evolved and integrated market with increasing international reach.
The presence of major market leaders at this edition confirms SICUREZZA as the leading Italian event. The goal now is to become the go-to event for the entire Mediterranean Basin and southern Europe. A boost in investments outside Italy, partnerships with Europe’s main media and above all increased incoming buyer planning are all underway.
A hundred and fifty top hosted buyers (40% more than last time) are coming to this year’s show. They’ll arrive with high budgets and executive decision-making powers. Through EMP – Fiera Milano’s proprietary business matching software – they are put directly in contact with exhibitors before the exhibition starts so they can set appointments and then take meetings at the stand. This creates tangible opportunities for all enterprises attending the show to expand their business and meet the world right here in Milan.
On the supply side, all sectors of the market have upped the ante. Video surveillance continues to go from strength to strength: most of the top Italian and multinational names are all here. A wider selection of products for passive security is also on show, in particular locksmiths, who this year are out in force with brands and offers of great interest such as the latest-generation, electronic locks.
Advanced products will be on show for access control; in burglary prevention there are bespoke solutions for every situation, from the home to the office right through to sensitive environments; fire prevention and surveillance have attracted a number of top players in Italy.
IT-based solutions continue to grow in importance, paving the way for a future of potential opportunities with integration into other sectors and an embrace of IoT, the Internet of Things. Massive opportunities lie in managing and monitoring technology online, and a number of interesting state-of-the-art solutions are on show.
SICUREZZA Drone Expo is a brand-new addition this year, dedicated to the use of drones for security/safety-related purposes. Many of the most interesting and beneficial uses of this agile and versatile technology are in private and public security.
Security managers, designers, installers, public officials and law and order professionals will all find tailor-made solutions for every sphere of application: banks, offices, transport, local stores, mass retail outlets, residential, critical infrastructure and smart cities.
In addition, adding more value to security where it is most needed, SICUREZZA 2015 plays host to many different vertical initiatives dedicated to a burgeoning world of applications that help industry professionals make the best choice for their needs and understand the potential of the emerging technologies on show.
EXHIBITION INITIATIVES
THE EVOLUTION OF SOLUTIONS FOR THE RETAIL TRADE
Focused specifically on security solutions for the retail trade and large-scale distribution, the Security for Retail Show (Hall 22) is being staged for the first time at SICUREZZA jointly with the Italian magazine essecome/securindex.com.
Aimed at trade professionals in the retail sector who are hunting for tools to protect their business, the area will encourage dialogue on these problems and propose customized solutions for every type of point of sale, presenting technologies and vertical solutions in a single context.
As well as showing integrated customized proposals and new ideas for linking security to the way customers are welcomed in points of sale, this area – thanks to a rich program of talk-shows, seminars and workshops organized by essecome/securindex.com – will provide an interesting chance to inform and train retailers, putting them in contact with the people who manufacture security systems and services.
INCREASING INTEGRATION BETWEEN ICT AND SECURITY
Offering a privileged overview of the increasingly digital nature of the sector, SICUREZZA and the Italian trade magazine Digitalic are once again organizing ICT Security Village (Hall 24). In a world where security tools are invariably digital devices linked to a network, which communicate with a server and a hard disk and are connected to the Internet, new expertise and new solutions are needed to protect surveillance tools and the data they record adequately. Digitalic Village will be offering concrete examples of the increasing level of integration between ICT and security and will be proposing avant-garde solutions in various fields, from recording on hard disks and memories, and protecting secure networks to protection software. From secure cabling to memories that can defend themselves from attempts to steal data, and software and systems to protect corporate assets, many interesting technologies of the latest generation will be presented in this area devoted to digital security.
THE INTELLIGENCE AND THE SECURITY OF THINGS
Another interesting vertical area will be the one focusing on IoT: the intelligence and the security of things (Hall 24): With the advent of the ‘fourth industrial revolution’, things have become smart and can communicate with each other, and everything nowadays –  whether we’re talking about infrastructures, the industrial world or private individuals –  is linked to a digital device and a network. In this context, the theme of security becomes a priority. In fact, not only have physical and logistical security converged, but security in every sphere has become a key factor for ensuring protection and constant monitoring, but also for improving efficiency and performance. With the aim of focusing attention on the future of the market, the IoT area will be bringing together companies which, even today, are taking effective steps to solve the security problems which need to be tackled, in the light of increasingly widespread intelligent devices and products. Enhancing the content further, Digitalic will organize a conference involving top experts on IoT and security, and technical workshops where case histories will be examined and future opportunities will be discussed.
WHEN SECURITY TAKES TO THE SKIES
Appearing for the first time at the show, SICUREZZA Drone Expo (Hall 22) is an initiative entirely devoted to the use of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, or drones) for the purposes of security and safety. It has been organized by Mediarkè, an Italian company which, for a couple of years now, has been promoting professional events of this kind in the sector, in cooperation with the trade magazine S News. At this group event, which will take place in the halls of SICUREZZA 2015, leading Italian and foreign companies specialized in the production of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), or which offer services employing drones, will be taking part. Finally, a special ‘flight area’ will be set aside for demo flights involving multirotor drones.
An initiative that looks at the future of security, a sphere in which UAVs are finding more and more applications, from the surveillance of flows of migrants in the Mediterranean to controlling critical infrastructures and major events, from protecting major monuments or art heritage to monitoring landslides and forest fires. And, very soon, other applications will be added to the list, such as emergency intervention in places where a natural disaster has struck, controlling critical situations from the air and even transporting drugs to isolated areas.
PROFESSIONALISM IN THE PIAZZA, BUSINESS AND HOSPITALITY
Once again SICUREZZA welcomes the Ecosystem Village (Hall 24), a perfect “piazza” for meeting up and finding out the latest industry developments.
An exhibition space is dedicated to the ecosystem of Milestone Systems’ partners, who will be showcasing the latest technologies and technical training, events and networking opportunities. The central bar is a perfect place to meet, to build and to consolidate business relations by combining hospitality and professionalism at informal or business meetings, and to share products or map out future ventures.
FROM THE PROBLEM TO THE SOLUTION.
THE BEST SOLUTION? LET THE VISITORS DECIDE
Technological innovation and advancement have prompted the industry to realize that it is necessary to go beyond an individual product-based approach: the future lies in integrated solutions, and successful case histories can help us understand how.
This is the idea that spawned the Solutions Gallery, an initiative organized by the Ethos Media Group, publisher of a&s Italy, which is showcasing 360-degree class-leading solutions (fire protection, burglary prevention, access control, building, video surveillance, etc.) in eight different vertical markets: transportation (rail, sea, air and road), retail, banking, urban security, healthcare, building, hospitality (hotel, holiday resorts), plus a miscellaneous category.
Participating companies illustrate their solution starting with how it caters to customer needs, including a case-by-case description of the location, installation type, key aspects of the system, main functions, what brands were used for the various components, and the results and benefits achieved.
Awards will be presented on SICUREZZA’s final day to the three solutions that garner the most votes at the event and online. The initiative is sponsored by sector trade associations.
Visitors to SICUREZZA will find quality and innovation, new solutions, training and increasingly-interactive spaces to discuss and leverage ideas and professionalism.
The show runs from 3 to 5 November 2015 at Fiera Milano.

LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN: SICUREZZA AND SMART BUILDING EXPO WILL BE BACK AT FIERA MILANO NEXT YEAR

Innovation, training, and renewed synergy between the two shows. SICUREZZA is ready to consolidate the leadership of an event with an increasingly international appeal.

SMART BUILDING EXPO extends its offering to the photovoltaic industry and smart cities. Milan, 30 November 2018 – the next edition of SICUREZZA will be back in less than a year, from 13 to 15 November 2019 at Fiera Milano.

This is Italy’s leading trade fair in the security & fire sectors and a must-attend international event for European players. Next year’s edition is going to be legendary, as many major companies will showcase their best solutions. As a matter of fact, there will be an additional pavilion and it will be an opportunity for focusing on training in the security and fire-fighting industry.

Security technologies are everywhere, from our homes – the residential sector has been growing consistently in the past few years, also thanks to government incentives – to our cities and workplaces. And SICUREZZA is getting ready to provide an overview of the current market.

Video surveillance, which has always been well represented at the trade fair, is already a widespread industry, but video cameras are enhancing their performance and are more and more sophisticated, smart, and an integral part of complex systems. This is leading to the multiplication of settings that are becoming testbenches for the most innovative technologies, providing HD images and being effective with any kind of lighting and weather condition. The recent debate in Italy about the possibility to install video cameras in kindergartens and hospices says it all. The aim is to turn this technology into a tool that can be a deterrent and a defence for weaker categories, while respecting everyone’s privacy.

The spotlight will be also on other new developments in the security industry. The access control sector is getting smarter, thanks to electronic locks and increasingly sophisticated biometric solutions, which can archive and monitor thousands of different users. On the other hand, the anti-intrusion segment is becoming progressively more oriented towards the integration of home or office management functions that can be controlled remotely via apps.

State-of-the-art modular solutions and data transmission systems allow for the transfer of vast quantities of information in real time from all the various types of sensors, with the possibility of identifying anomalies and immediately monitoring situations and activities.

Besides efficiency, new security technologies are asked to face an important challenge, especially in view of the recent enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data processing is even more challenging because securing data goes beyond protecting them and preventing risks. In the Internet era, the security of data, things, and people is a strategic asset to ensure the benefit and effectiveness of any type of technology. Security is no longer just a technical matter, but a corporate governance responsibility. Whether we are talking about companies, cities, or shopping centres, security-related decisions are a value on which clients base their idea of reliability.

In this ever-changing context, players’ competency becomes essential, because security has become a topic for many people: constructors, designers, and installers (who must comply with the GDPR), as well as major users and private citizens, who can now integrate their security systems, thus being a resource for the entire community. The security culture is something that any constructor and representative of the supply chain are asked to feed continuously.

SICUREZZA 2019 will be back to consolidate all this with its rich panel of high-profile meetings, organised in collaboration with associations and publishers, and inform and update all the players of this industry.

SMART BUILDING EXPO: A STRONGER SYNERGY

After the success of this first edition, Smart Building Expo, the event organised by Fiera Milano and Pentastudio, will be back stronger than ever to provide designers, system integrators, facility and energy managers, as well as public administration, a richer and more complete offering, which includes smart building.

The two events will be very synergetic (Smart Building will take place in pavilion 6 together with a part of the SICUREZZA trade fair) and will have shared contents, thanks to a schedule including cross-cutting topics.

Smart Building Expo has always focused on the market’s evolution, and the 2019 edition will add new product sectors to those traditionally covered in the home and building automation field. The world of electricity self-production, especially using photovoltaic technology with a natural opening towards e-mobility infrastructure will join energy efficiency and smart lighting. The concept of Audio Video Control will extend to the outdoors, as an integral part of a smart city.

The design and start-up areas will be implemented thanks to the collaboration with some major Italian business incubators and accelerators. The smart city area will be the newest introduction of the 2019 edition, which will put the limelight on 5G deployment as an infrastructure enabling new applications in an urban environment.

To mark the investments in this strategic area, which is open to future developments, Smart Building Expo, together with a few institutional partners, is organising an importantInternational Conference, which will take place during the trade fair. The conference is going to attract a highly qualified international audience, who will help enrich the event through best practices.

THE ROADSHOW CONTINUES: A NEW STAGE IN THE SOUTH

After Spain, Germany, and Romania, the SICUREZZA and Smart Building Expo promotional roadshow stopped in the South of Italy, in Bari for the Smart Building Levante event.

To present the latest developments of the next edition to the players from the South, SICUREZZA has promoted a conference on Integrated Safety with the service provided by professionals and industry players.

SICUREZZA 2019 focuses on integration and innovation

Larger – with an additional hall – and even more international and closer to the market it represents. SICUREZZA 2019, the event organised by Fiera Milano that will take place next year from 13 to 15 November, aims at achieving these objectives.
Drawing on the important results achieved last year – 25,569 certified professional visitors (+35%) and 465 direct exhibitors (+40%) – SICUREZZA 2019 is ready to continue its international development, which has turned it a into major European event for the Security & Fire industry. The project will focus on the challenges of this industry, its constant evolution, and the changing roles and professions.

In an increasingly digitised and interconnected world, given the growing integration and interoperability between different systems, security technology has become essential in any field. From a simple protection tool, it has turned into an important strategic element. Technologies don’t just perceive an alarm. Today, they also monitor and connect different processes, collect and manage data, interpreting them in a smart way.

That’s why the 2019 edition of SICUREZZA will focus on integrated solutions and cyber security, a cross-cutting topic for the management of increasingly smarter technologies that are also asked to protect and transmit data. Moreover, given the increase in demand for public security, SICUREZZA 2019 will pay special attention to urban security, an application field to which companies are dedicating quite a number of solutions.

In the background, the Italian market continues the positive trend of the past few years, thanks to its constant evolution and increasing demand for security at all levels. 2017 closed with an overall turnover increased by 7.2%, +6.6% of exports (source: ANIE Sicurezza, June 2018).

This sector confirms to by dynamic. On the one hand, Italy has the production and technological capacity to penetrate into international markets, and on the other hand it represents an interesting market for international players who are looking for new opportunities.

That’s why SICUREZZA aims at being an internationalisation tool. And to do so, it keeps investing in international presentations and incoming top profiled buyers from interesting countries from a business point of view, especially Southern Europe and the Mediterranean Basin.
