At SECON 2026, Suprema introduced a next-generation security robot designed to become part of everyday protection in residential complexes. The robot is built for autonomous patrols within residential areas, combining the roles of a physical security guard and a video surveillance system. Powered by artificial intelligence, it can detect unusual situations such as falls, unauthorized access, and other potential security incidents.
Inside the unit is an AI-powered module for facial recognition and advanced video analytics, based on Suprema’s core technologies, enabling reliable identification and an additional layer of security monitoring. SECON 2026 was held from March 18 to 20, 2026, at the KINTEX exhibition center in South Korea, bringing together hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of security professionals.
It is considered one of the most important security events in Asia, showcasing the latest technologies and industry trends. During the event, visitors had the opportunity to see the robot in action at Suprema’s booth, where it was presented as an example of the future of intelligent security systems.
Milestone Systems has introduced a new suite of AI and analytics solutions designed for security operations, aimed at enabling the reliable use of generative artificial intelligence in day-to-day workflows. The new solutions include AI Search, XProtect Video Summarization, and Video Anonymization—tools that address key challenges faced by modern security teams. While generative AI is transforming many industries, security operators still rely heavily on manual processes for video review and incident documentation. Milestone notes that strict requirements for accuracy and reliability have made organizations cautious about automation, particularly due to the risks of incorrect outputs and false alarms.
An additional challenge is the increasingly complex regulatory landscape, including the EU AI Act and GDPR, which impose strict requirements on video data management. The new solutions are designed to reduce manual effort, accelerate video analysis, and ensure compliance within the Milestone ecosystem.
AI Search enables operators to find relevant video footage using natural language, while XProtect Video Summarization automatically generates structured, text-based incident reports.
Video Anonymization ensures the protection of individuals’ identities by automatically masking faces and license plates. The solutions are built on specialized models trained on real-world security scenarios, delivering greater accuracy and reliability compared to generic AI systems. Milestone will also showcase these solutions at ISC West at the end of March, demonstrating their application across VMS, VSaaS, and analytics platforms.

Bosch Life Safety Systems has presented a project involving the implementation of an advanced fire detection system in GRAWE Group office buildings in Zagreb, highlighting it as a practical example of addressing frequent false alarms in commercial facilities. These buildings had previously experienced recurring alarms that led to repeated evacuations, operational disruptions, and the risk of reduced responsiveness to real threats.
In cooperation with Fidens alarm d.o.o., Bosch deployed an integrated solution combining AVENAR fire alarm panels with a tailored mix of AVENAR detectors, including the 4000 series and aspirating smoke detection systems. The setup was further enhanced with the NEXOSPACE Fire System Explorer platform, enabling remote monitoring, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance.
According to Bosch, this approach significantly reduces false alarms, lowers the need for on-site interventions, and improves overall system management. At the same time, the solution is designed to support future expansion and ensure compatibility with both existing and new infrastructure.
The project demonstrates how integrating advanced detection technologies with digital tools can improve the reliability of fire detection systems while reducing operational costs, all while maintaining a high level of safety in complex commercial environments.

In the latest episode, we speak with Mircea Ciordas, General Manager of AL.SE.RO Impex and President of the Romanian Security Industry Association (ARTS), about the transformation of Romania’s security industry over the past three decades. From an almost non-existent market in the early 1990s to today’s advanced systems monitoring hospitals, schools, museums, and public parking facilities, this development has been driven by technology integration, professional education, and the establishment of standards. A key role in this evolution has been played by the Romanian Security Industry Association (ARTS), founded in 2004. The association has laid the foundation for regulation, connected suppliers and end users, and ensured continuous professional training.
Today, ARTS organizes training programs, hosts events and provides guidance on implementing new technologies, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. As Ciordas highlights, standardization and education have been crucial in professionalizing the industry. Integrated security solutions have become the norm – from fire detection and video surveillance to access control and alarm systems – all interconnected within networks that enable efficient monitoring and response. Ciordas emphasizes that while modern systems bring greater efficiency, they also introduce new challenges, particularly in terms of cybersecurity and network protection. The story of Romania’s security industry demonstrates how vision, standards, and technological integration can shape a safer environment for citizens. Today, the sector is stable, innovative, and ready to meet future challenges.

The Panduit Fault Managed Power System is a safe, efficient, reliable and practical power delivery system that will go the distance.
The Fault Managed Power System (FMPS) is a novel power delivery system that allows System Integrators to safely provide significant power, over long distances, to remote equipment. The Panduit FMPS is a Class 4 power system that is the first in the market to comply with the new UL 1400-1 Standard for a safer, more reliable, and easy-to-install power delivery system that provides substantial time and cost savings.
How Does Fault Managed Power System Work?
The FMPS uses Pulse Current as its power delivery method. The Transmitter converts standard AC power into high voltage DC power, which is further converted into a Pulse Current waveform delivered over a Class 4 multi-conductor copper cable to the Receiver. The Receiver converts the pulse current waveform into +/- 48 VDC power, which can power multiple end devices. With the ability to monitor faults, the system can safely use higher voltage to deliver power compared to low-voltage systems (Class 2). This allows the FMPS system to have all the safety benefits of low-voltage installations while delivering significantly more power over longer distances than Class 2 systems.
How Much Power and Distance?
Deliver up to 600W per copper pair and up to 2 kilometers away. The Power and distance any system can deliver depend upon the wire size. Toggle between the charts below to see how much power the Panduit FMPS can deliver across a single pair of copper conductors and at what distance compared to Class 2 systems.
Benefits of Fault Managed Power System
Compared to traditional power
Save up to 40% on material costs
Safe power distribution allows technicians to install the Panduit Fault Managed Power System with less material, for a less costly and faster deployment than traditional power.
Lower your Opex with Centralized Power architecture
The architecture allows centralized power backup for more accessible and less expensive management. Centrally monitor and control your infrastructure to avoid costly site visits.
Compared to Class 2 power…
Save up to 60% on cable costs
The Fault Managed Power System delivers up to 6 times the power and 30 times the distance of a Class 2 system, reducing the number of copper pairs needed while using a thinner wire gauge.
Reduce headend space and cooling requirements
The FMPS safely delivers more power at higher voltage than a Class 2 system and increases the power capacity per RU while reducing the power lost to heat with higher efficiency.
