Motorola Solutions Introduces Intercom Touch for Unified Access Control
Motorola Solutions has introduced Intercom Touch, a new device that combines a smart video intercom, card reader, and access controller into a single solution, eliminating the need for additional hardware or complex installation. According to the company, the device enables two-way audio and video communication with visitors while supporting multiple access methods, including key cards, mobile wallets, PIN codes, and the Wave to Unlock feature.
Intercom Touch also incorporates video and audio analytics that can automatically trigger alarms or lock doors when suspicious activity is detected, while its user interface can be customized to match an organization’s branding and privacy requirements. With cloud connectivity provided through a single Ethernet cable, the device requires no additional backend infrastructure, simplifying deployment across commercial facilities.
