Axis Communications Reports 17% Revenue Growth with New Strategic Acquisitions

Axis Communications achieved 17% revenue growth in 2025, reaching total sales of SEK 20.8 billion (approximately US$2.1 billion), according to the latest analysis by Memoori. The Americas remained the company’s strongest market, accounting for 58% of total revenue. The report also highlights that Axis further expanded its portfolio through two strategic acquisitions that received relatively little public attention.

The first involved the acquisition of Skysense, a specialist in counter-drone technologies, while the second focused on Czech-based FF Group, known for its edge AI and automatic license plate recognition solutions. According to Memoori, Axis now generates more than 77% of Canon’s total network camera revenue, reinforcing its position as the key contributor to the group’s video surveillance business since joining Canon in 2015. Headquartered in Lund, Sweden, the company employs more than 5,200 people, operates in over 50 countries, and works with partners across approximately 180 markets worldwide.

At the same time, the analysts note that changes in U.S. trade policy and the weakening U.S. dollar negatively affected the company’s operating margin. Despite these challenges, the results confirm Axis Communications’ continued growth and its ongoing expansion in artificial intelligence, automatic license plate recognition, and counter-drone technologies.
