CoESS and SIA Open Discussion on Responsible AI Adoption in Security
The Confederation of European Security Services (CoESS) and the Security Industry Association (SIA) will host an EU–US webinar on 25 September, from 17:00 to 18:00 CET, focusing on the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in the security sector. Titled “Driving Trustworthy AI Adoption in Security: EU and U.S. Perspectives on Regulation and Responsible Deployment,” the event will bring together experts from both sides of the Atlantic to explore how AI adoption can be accelerated while maintaining trust, accountability, and legal certainty.
Discussions will focus on the current state of AI regulation in the European Union and the United States and its practical implications for companies developing or using security technologies and services. Participants will also examine the potential of AI across different areas of security, as well as the conditions needed to encourage wider adoption, innovation, and responsible deployment. Speakers include Kai Zenner, Digital Policy Advisor and Head of Office to MEP Axel Voss, Jake Parker of the U.S.-based SIA, and Alexander Frank of CoESS.
The organizers emphasize that the rapid development of artificial intelligence makes it increasingly important to understand how regulation, innovation, and operational realities interact in Europe and the United States.
