ATEÏS Introduces Ring Protector: Ensuring Continuous Voice Alarm Operation Even in Case of Loudspeaker Line Failure
ATEÏS Europe B.V. has introduced a new solution aimed at enhancing the reliability of public address and voice alarm systems in large-scale facilities. The Ring Protector system is designed to ensure uninterrupted audio messaging even in the event of a loudspeaker line failure.
In large buildings and public infrastructure, a single cable fault can disrupt an entire loudspeaker line, compromising the delivery of critical safety announcements. ATEÏS addresses this challenge by combining RPU short-circuit isolators, installed along the loudspeaker line, with the RDR Central Rack Controller. The system automatically detects faults and isolates affected sections, allowing the rest of the network to remain fully operational. This ensures continuous audio distribution, which is essential in emergency situations such as evacuations and incident management.
Ring Protector improves overall system reliability and complies with EN54 standards for voice alarm systems. The solution is particularly suited for use in airports, transport hubs, shopping centres, and large public buildings, where dependable and timely communication is crucial. More information about the solution is available on the company’s official website.
