EGAL Presents New AEM Solutions for Advanced Network and PoE Testing

EGAL, a Ljubljana-based company, has presented the latest innovations from AEM, a global leader in cable and network infrastructure testing, with a focus on new test adapters and enhanced software functionality. The key highlight is the AD-NET-PASSTHRU Ethernet pass-thru adapter for TestPro and Network Service Assistant (NSA) devices, which enables in-line testing of network connectivity and PoE power while connected devices, such as security cameras, remain in active operation. This approach allows continuous monitoring of link speed, network stability, and PoE load over extended periods, with precise identification of connection losses or performance degradation.

AEM has further expanded its range of coax adapters with the new AD-COAX-TYPE-N 50 Ohm solution for RF applications, alongside continued support for existing 75 Ohm adapters on the TestPro and NSA platforms. New OTDR adapters for single-mode and multimode fiber have also been introduced, further enhancing optical network testing capabilities. Additional practical value comes from the new BareWire adapters, which allow cable testing prior to final termination, eliminating the need to sacrifice connectors.

Alongside the hardware updates, the TestDataPro results management software now supports both Windows and macOS platforms, with enhanced cloud features including CSV export, analytics, and recertification. As noted by Lisa Schwartz, Director of Product Marketing at AEM, all new developments are driven directly by user feedback, with the goal of long-term investment protection and continuous improvement of field testing solutions.
