Suprema Unveils a New Generation of AI Access Control Solutions at Intersec 2026
Suprema presented its latest generation of hardware and a clear dual strategy for on-premise and cloud-based access management solutions at Intersec 2026. As one of the leading manufacturers in the Middle East region, the company views these innovations as a key step toward further expansion across the Gulf and neighboring markets. The centerpiece of Suprema’s booth was a new generation of AI-enhanced access control devices, designed to deliver high performance, accuracy, and flexible deployment in large-scale systems.
Special attention was drawn to BioStation 3 Max, the new flagship terminal for biometric facial authentication, intended for environments with high security requirements and heavy user traffic. The device features an enhanced neural processing engine that enables extremely fast and accurate facial recognition, even under demanding conditions. Its large integrated touchscreen and built-in VoIP intercom make it well suited for access control at corporate headquarters, data centers, and sensitive industrial facilities. The introduction of Power over Ethernet (PoE) further simplifies installation and reduces infrastructure costs, a feature particularly valued in the Middle East market.
Suprema also introduced XPass Q2, an intelligent QR reader that supports a wide range of RFID card types, designed for fast access in high-traffic facilities as well as entry control at events and stadiums.
For the first time at Intersec, the company announced two complete access control platforms: BioStar X for on-premise deployments and BioStar Air as a cloud-native solution, with official launches planned for the first half of 2026.
BioStar X combines access control, video surveillance, and advanced integrations within a single platform, while BioStar Air enables rapid scaling without local servers and includes secure mobile credentials with no per-user licensing fees. “We chose Intersec to introduce our latest technologies because the Middle East consistently leads the adoption of biometrics, artificial intelligence, and mobile access, which directly aligns with our development direction and vision for the future of access control,” said Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema.
