Hikvision Demonstrates HeatPro Thermal Camera Capabilities at a Distance of 120 Meters

Hikvision has demonstrated new capabilities of its HeatPro thermal camera, focusing on accurate human detection in real perimeter protection scenarios and complete darkness. During the test, the camera successfully detected a human target at a distance of 120 meters, delivering precise identification and stable system performance. Particular emphasis was placed on false alarm filtering, with the system successfully distinguishing human targets from animals crossing the scene without generating unnecessary alerts.

According to Hikvision, modern perimeter protection is no longer limited to motion detection alone, but increasingly depends on the system’s ability to identify actual threats and distinguish relevant targets from ordinary environmental activity. This is why thermal technology and AI-powered analytics are playing an increasingly important role in protecting critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, logistics centers, and large outdoor areas.

The HeatPro series of thermal cameras is designed for scenarios where conventional video surveillance may face limitations due to darkness, adverse weather conditions, or long-distance monitoring requirements. By combining thermal imaging with intelligent analytics, the system enables more reliable detection and a significant reduction in false alarms, which is particularly important in perimeter protection applications.

A video demonstration of the HeatPro thermal camera is available on Hikvision’s LinkedIn channel, showcasing the system’s performance in real perimeter protection and nighttime surveillance conditions.
