When businesses extend their SMARTair digital access solution with CLIQ battery-free cylinders, they implement complete oversight for their premises, including any outdoor spaces. One solution, maximum reach

By bringing CLIQ devices into a SMARTair solution, organizations gain fully integrated control and total traceability of access. They can extend access control even to remote locations with durable CLIQ cylinders and programmable keys, all from the familiar SMARTair TS1000 software interface. In addition, SMARTair’s Wireless online management option gives security teams real-time system control via wireless HUBs. For their stadium, they chose SMARTair digital access with additional centralized management of CLIQ smart keys and cable-free cylinders. All users and access points are managed online from their SMARTair TS1000 Web software. SMARTair Wireless Online management gives staff real-time control and oversight of offices, locker rooms and physio suites. Stadium staff use customized RFID cards which double as their ID badges. Visitors and external contractors receive time-limited access via mobile keys sent to their own SMARTair OpenowÒ app. It’s convenient for them and simplifies visitor management. CLIQ cylinders protect technical rooms and interior service zones. Maintenance staff and security personnel, including matchday police, carry a programmable CLIQ key with their individual access permissions.

Axis Communications announces an ARTPEC-9 global shutter camera that captures sharp, distortion-free images of fast-moving objects. AXIS P1486-LE Global Shutter Camera uses global shutter technology with built-in continuous and strobing IR illumination to capture sharp images with minimal distortion, noise, and motion blur. Suprema Unveils a New Generation of AI Access Control Solutions at Intersec 2026

Suprema presented its latest generation of hardware and a clear dual strategy for on-premise and cloud-based access management solutions at Intersec 2026. As one of the leading manufacturers in the Middle East region, the company views these innovations as a key step toward further expansion across the Gulf and neighboring markets. The centerpiece of Suprema’s booth was a new generation of AI-enhanced access control devices, designed to deliver high performance, accuracy, and flexible deployment in large-scale systems.

Special attention was drawn to BioStation 3 Max, the new flagship terminal for biometric facial authentication, intended for environments with high security requirements and heavy user traffic. The device features an enhanced neural processing engine that enables extremely fast and accurate facial recognition, even under demanding conditions. Its large integrated touchscreen and built-in VoIP intercom make it well suited for access control at corporate headquarters, data centers, and sensitive industrial facilities. The introduction of Power over Ethernet (PoE) further simplifies installation and reduces infrastructure costs, a feature particularly valued in the Middle East market.

Suprema also introduced XPass Q2, an intelligent QR reader that supports a wide range of RFID card types, designed for fast access in high-traffic facilities as well as entry control at events and stadiums.

EGAL Presents New AEM Solutions for Advanced Network and PoE Testing

EGAL, a Ljubljana-based company, has presented the latest innovations from AEM, a global leader in cable and network infrastructure testing, with a focus on new test adapters and enhanced software functionality. The key highlight is the AD-NET-PASSTHRU Ethernet pass-thru adapter for TestPro and Network Service Assistant (NSA) devices, which enables in-line testing of network connectivity and PoE power while connected devices, such as security cameras, remain in active operation. This approach allows continuous monitoring of link speed, network stability, and PoE load over extended periods, with precise identification of connection losses or performance degradation.

AEM has further expanded its range of coax adapters with the new AD-COAX-TYPE-N 50 Ohm solution for RF applications, alongside continued support for existing 75 Ohm adapters on the TestPro and NSA platforms. New OTDR adapters for single-mode and multimode fiber have also been introduced, further enhancing optical network testing capabilities. Additional practical value comes from the new BareWire adapters, which allow cable testing prior to final termination, eliminating the need to sacrifice connectors.

Alongside the hardware updates, the TestDataPro results management software now supports both Windows and macOS platforms, with enhanced cloud features including CSV export, analytics, and recertification. As noted by Lisa Schwartz, Director of Product Marketing at AEM, all new developments are driven directly by user feedback, with the goal of long-term investment protection and continuous improvement of field testing solutions.
