Honeywell Raises 2025 Outlook After Strong Third-Quarter Results and Ongoing Portfolio Transformation

Honeywell International Inc. today announced its third-quarter results, with overall sales growing 7 % year-over-year and organic sales up 6 %. The company said its results met or exceeded its prior guidance. Operating income declined by 6 %, yet segment profit rose 5 % to US $2.4 billion, driven by strong performance in its Energy & Sustainability Solutions and Building Automation units. The operating margin contracted 220 basis points to 16.9 %, while the segment margin narrowed by 50 basis points to 23.1 %. Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to US $2.86, an increase of 32 % year-over-year, and adjusted EPS came in at US $2.82, up 9 %.

Operating cash flow surged 65 % to US $3.3 billion, although free cash flow slipped 16 % to US $1.5 billion. The company also announced that it is raising its full-year 2025 guidance for organic growth and adjusted EPS, and updated its free cash-flow target, factoring in the spin-off of its advanced materials business. That spin-off, Solstice Advanced Materials, is scheduled for October 30, 2025 and is expected to reduce full-year sales by US $0.7 billion, reduce adjusted EPS by US $0.21 and cut free cash flow by US $0.2 billion. Full-year sales are now expected in the range of US $40.7 billion to US $40.9 billion, with organic growth of approximately 6 %. Segment margin is forecast to be 22.9 % to 23.0 %, representing expansion of 30–40 basis points. Adjusted EPS is now expected to be US $10.60 to US $10.70, higher by US $0.10 at the midpoint from the prior range. Operating cash flow is projected at US $6.4 billion to US $6.8 billion, with free cash flow in the range of US $5.2 billion to US $5.6 billion.

Excluding the impact of a prior agreement with Bombardier Inc. and the Solstice spin-off, the company expects organic sales growth of about 5 %, a segment margin decline of 30–40 basis points, and adjusted EPS growth roughly 3 %. When excluding both the Bombardier agreement and the spin-off, adjusted EPS growth is expected in the range of 5 % to 6 %.

The company said its board has concluded its portfolio review and is pursuing the separation of its Automation and Aerospace businesses, so that it will become three publicly-listed industry-leading companies by the second half of 2026. CEO Vimal Kapur commented that the quarter’s strong results reflect the company’s momentum and its ability to unlock new value as it simplifies the business and advances its transformation.

Synology Releases ActiveProtect Manager 1.1 to Strengthen Enterprise Cyber Resilience and Compliance

Synology announced the release of the ActiveProtect Manager (APM) 1.1. This update is designed to support more workload support, strengthen security, improve tiering options, and expand compliance to help organizations achieve greater cyber resilience.

“As cybersecurity threats intensify and IT budgets tighten, the market is demanding an integrated, secure, and scalable solution that delivers optimal ROI,” said JiaYu Liu, Executive Vice President at Synology. “ActiveProtect is our answer, and the market’s strong response has reinforced our commitment to continue advancing our solutions.”

APM 1.1 further bolsters enterprise cyber resilience

The latest APM release introduces significant improvements to help organizations strengthen their data protection strategy. Here are the four major highlights:

  • Expanded workload support:In addition to the existing on-premises and SaaS workloads, ActiveProtect now offers enhanced support for agent-based backups for Proxmox.
  • Boosted cyber resilience: APM 1.1 enhances data security by introducing a new Allow Access Mode that offers granular network control, allowing inbound traffic only from whitelisted IP addresses during backup operations. Upon completion—or if backups finish ahead of schedule—the system automatically reverts to full isolation mode.
  • Broadened tiering options:In addition to the previously supported cloud and on-premises tiering destinations in Amazon S3, Synology SA and HD series, the upcoming release will incorporate support for Wasabi and selected Synology XS/XS+ devices.
  • Streamlined compliance support: The new update enables organizations to perform multi-site, multi-geo backup to maintain data at designated geographical locations, thereby fulfilling local data residency requirements.

Why ActiveProtect Stands Out

ActiveProtect delivers seamlessly integrated hardware and software, significantly reducing the total cost of ownership compared to traditional self-integrated backup solutions. It centralizes the protection of up to 150,000 workloads across 2,500 sites, covering virtual machines, servers, databases, endpoints, and SaaS services. With advanced features such as WORM, air-gapped backups, and self-healing integrity checks, ActiveProtect delivers comprehensive security against evolving cyber threats.

To date, Synology’s backup solutions have protected over 30 million workloads worldwide. Building on this success, Synology’s ActiveProtect earned 4.9/5 rating and a 99% recommendation score by customers on Gartner Peer Insights as of August 2025. Synology is also recognized as a Representative Vendor in the 2025 Gartner Market Guide for Enterprise Backup Storage Appliances.

ActiveProtect appliances are available globally via Synology’s distributor and partner network. For more information, visit https://sy.to/apm11

Advancis Austria Prepares for a Strong Autumn Season on Europe’s Security Stage

This autumn, Advancis Austria is preparing for one of its busiest exhibition seasons yet, with a series of appearances at major security events across Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe. More than just a showcase of products, the company’s program underlines the growing importance of its people and partnerships, within its own team and with trusted technology and regional allies.

SecuriForum Hungary

The first stop will be SecuriForum in Hungary, where Advancis once again joins forces with technology partner Commend. The collaboration between the two companies is long-standing, and the Budapest event will highlight how communication solutions and integration platforms complement one another. Adria Security Summit

The season’s centerpiece follows at the Adria Security Summit in Skopje. Here, Advancis Austria will step into the spotlight as a Diamond Sponsor for the first time, supported by its largest team to date at the Summit. The delegation includes Sergej Piculin, Nikolai Landa, and Slavoljub Stevanovic, who will represent the Austrian team on site. They will be joined by Oliver Lacey from the UK, contributing his expertise on AIM (Advanced Identity Manager). Advancis will not only host a busy stand but also deliver a keynote on “Living and Working in a Big Data World.” The topic resonates widely, as organizations across the region grapple with how to make sense of ever-growing volumes of data. Alongside the keynote, the team will host several side events and workshops devoted to WinGuard and AIM, offering visitors a chance to explore in detail how modular integration and identity management can create value in complex environments.

“Being present with a larger group is important,” notes Sergej Piculin, Sales & Business Development Manager in Southeastern Europe. “It allows us to reflect the diversity of expertise we have, and it gives visitors more opportunities to connect with the right people.” This perspective highlights Advancis Austria’s emphasis on partnerships at every level – within its team, with technology providers, and with clients across the region.

Romanian Security Summit

Next on the calendar is the inaugural Romanian Security Summit, where Advancis sees an opportunity to engage with a developing but dynamic market. For the Austrian team, the debut event is as much about listening as it is about presenting – understanding the needs of local integrators and end users will be key to building lasting partnerships.

Sicurezza Milan

Finally, Advancis Austria will round off the season at Sicurezza in Milan, one of Europe’s leading trade fairs. There, the Austrian team will meet international partners and clients, reinforcing ties that reach beyond national borders. The event serves as both a stage for technological innovation and a meeting point for long-term cooperation. Advancis will be joined again by its Italian system partner Microlab, presenting together how close collaboration can optimize security solutions and deliver lasting value for users. Altogether, these appearances mark a step forward for Advancis Austria. By fielding larger, more diverse teams and actively contributing to conference programs, the company shows that its strength lies not only in technology but also in the people who represent it. As these events unfold, the company demonstrates that its future in the region will be shaped just as much by human connections and strong collaborations as by technical innovation.
