Association of Security Managers of Montenegro (AMBCG) and TurkCham Montenegro – the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro – have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation establishing a framework for long-term institutional collaboration aimed at advancing corporate security, fostering a safer business environment, and strengthening economic ties between Montenegro and the Republic of Türkiye. The Memorandum confirms the shared commitment of both organizations to promote modern security standards, protect investments, and enhance the overall business climate through strategic partnership.

The cooperation will include the organization of professional conferences, business forums, seminars, workshops, and training programs, the exchange of expertise and best practices, the implementation of joint national and international projects, and stronger networking between companies, institutions, and security professionals from Montenegro and Türkiye. Particular emphasis will be placed on improving corporate security standards, strengthening security culture, protecting critical infrastructure, and enhancing the resilience of the business sector to emerging security challenges.

Dragan Radulović, President of the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro, described the signing of the Memorandum as an important step in the Association’s international development and a further confirmation of its credibility at both the regional and international levels.

“Today’s security challenges require strong international cooperation, the exchange of experience, and closer ties within the professional community. Through this Memorandum, we are opening a new chapter of cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of Türkiye in the field of corporate security, with the goal of creating a safer business environment, raising professional standards, and implementing joint initiatives that will contribute to the economic development of both countries,” said Radulović.

Muttalip İlhan, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Corporate Relations Committee of TurkCham Montenegro, said the Memorandum represents an important step forward in strengthening business and institutional cooperation between the two countries. “We believe this partnership will encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience, connect companies and institutions, and lead to joint initiatives that will enhance corporate security while further strengthening the economic relations between our two friendly countries,” İlhan stated.

Slovenian company EGAL has joined the purchase of a new fire truck for the Formin Volunteer Fire Department (PGD Formin) as a bronze sponsor, contributing to the safety of the local community and its residents. The donation also carries special personal significance for the founding family of EGAL, whose roots trace back to Formin, making the project a meaningful way to support a community that remains an important part of their family history.

The ceremony marking the 90th anniversary of PGD Formin and the handover of the new fire truck was attended by EGAL founder Egon Süssinger and his wife Adica. “It was a great honour for us to support a project that will serve the local community for many years to come,” the company said. The need to further improve the regulatory framework governing the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), strengthen interinstitutional cooperation, and align security procedures with modern challenges was one of the key conclusions of an expert consultation organized by the Association of Security Managers of Montenegro (AMBCG) at The Chedi Luštica Bay hotel.

The event, titled “Improving the Regulatory Framework and Security Procedures for the Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Tourist Areas and Locations of Special Security Importance,” brought together representatives of the Police Directorate, the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro, the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, and members of AMBCG’s Committee for the Security of Tourist Complexes.

Participants agreed that the growing use of drones for commercial, professional, and recreational purposes requires continuous adaptation of both the regulatory and operational framework. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the tourism industry, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the safety of citizens and visitors. During the consultations, attendees discussed challenges encountered in practice, especially regarding the use of drones in tourist areas and near airports, marinas, beaches, public gatherings, and other locations of special security significance.

It was emphasized that an effective response to these challenges requires clearly defined institutional responsibilities, improved coordination among all relevant stakeholders, and the continuous alignment of regulations with technological developments and European standards. Among the main conclusions were the need to further strengthen preventive mechanisms, enhance information exchange between competent authorities, and provide ongoing education for drone users on the safe and responsible use of these systems. Participants agreed that expert dialogue among all relevant institutions must continue in order to define recommendations that will contribute to improving security procedures and fostering the development of modern technologies in Montenegro.

AMBCG stated that, through the organization of professional events and by connecting institutions and businesses, it will continue to contribute to the development of modern security policies and the enhancement of security systems in areas of particular importance to the country.

Advanced Cyber Security (ACS) participated in a survey organized by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), contributing its expertise to the assessment of the impact of the Cyber Resilience Act on small and medium-sized enterprises. The survey brought together 194 organizations from 31 countries with the aim of collecting practical experience and recommendations for implementing the new European cybersecurity regulations.
