MIBA Levante Debuts In Bari On November 18–19, 2026.

The construction market in Southern Italy is worth more than €90 billion, with Puglia among the regions most involved in the development of modern and sustainable building. In this context, MIBA Levante is launched as a unique showcase of know-how and technological and design solutions, both in the field of building envelopes and building systems, available to all industry professionals.

Eight months remain until the first edition of MIBA Levante, scheduled to take place in Bari (one of the most important city in the south of Italy) on November 18 and 19, 2026, an event dedicated to the energy and digital transition of the Mediterranean building stock.

MIBA Levante, organized by Fiera Milano in collaboration with Pentastudio, was created as a spin-off of MIBA – Milan International Building Alliance, Fiera Milano’s international hub that serves as a reference point for the design, construction, and redevelopment of buildings and cities.

In odd-numbered years, MIBA brings together in Milan four strategic biennial exhibitions for the construction supply chain, increasingly oriented toward synergy among sectors: GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition (horizontal and vertical mobility); MADE Expo (architecture and construction); SICUREZZA (security & fire); and SMART BUILDING EXPO (home and building automation and technological integration).

In even-numbered years, MIBA Levante will provide the opportunity to meet professionals from Southern Italy and the Mediterranean area, with an exhibition offering tailored to the needs of the territory and an educational program developed in collaboration with leading organizations from the academic and professional association worlds.

The choice of Southern Italy – and in particular in the Puglia region – as the stage for a new trade fair event dedicated to the building sector is no coincidence. According to data from CRESME, MIBA’s scientific partner, in 2025 the value of construction market production in Southern Italy exceeded €90 billion – about one third of the overall Italian market. In Puglia alone, the construction market is worth €18 billion. Like the rest of the country, Southern Italy has experienced strong growth in the construction sector compared to the pre-pandemic years.
CRESME’s analysis highlights that, starting from 2026, the construction sector will have to face the issue of the substantial exhaustion of NRRP Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan) resources, which will particularly affect municipalities’ investment capacity. It will also be necessary to see what will happen to tax incentives for building renovation and energy efficiency improvements. Housing itself, according to CRESME, will be one of the key themes of the market in the coming years in Southern Italy, and especially in Puglia, where property transactions have increased by 32% compared to 2019, against an Italian average of 27%.

MIBA Levante will be the ideal context to discuss the opportunities linked to this scenario and to discover new developments in terms of products, solutions, and systems, with a focus on the energy and digital transition of the Mediterranean building stock.

PROFESSIONALS IN EVOLUTION: THE EDUCATIONAL OFFERING OF MIBA LEVANTE

The continuous development of the building supply chain requires professionals capable of identifying regulatory, design, and technological opportunities currently available in order to best interpret the transition underway.

For this reason, MIBA Levante will provide a program characterized by high-level training meetings and special events, participation in which will allow professionals to obtain continuing education credits. Workshops and conferences will be designed in collaboration with academic institutions such as the Polytechnic University of Bari and the University of Bari Aldo Moro, highly specialized organizations such as MedisDIH – the Regional Mechatronics District and the Digital Innovation Hub of Puglia, professional bodies such as the Order of Engineers of the Province of Bari and the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of the Province of Bari, as well as international associations such as Smart Buildings Alliance and EAMC – Engineering Association of Mediterranean Countries.

In particular, EAMC – Engineering Association of Mediterranean Countries, an international organization for technical collaboration and professional exchange among European and Arab engineering bodies in the Mediterranean area, has chosen MIBA Levante as the venue for its Convention on Decarbonization and Sustainability of the Built Environment in the Mediterranean. Key topics will include renewable energy and emissions reduction, innovative water and waste management, urban and territorial resilience, safeguarding cultural heritage, sustainable regeneration, as well as engineering education and professional qualifications.

Within MIBA Levante, and specifically as part of Smart Building Levante, the Keep Zero Area will also be featured – a special hub dedicated to sustainable construction. Starting with a regulatory focus on the new ITACA Puglia Protocol, a series of meetings will demonstrate how the integration of structure, materials, and smart systems is the key to sustainable, high-performance buildings compliant with the new regional regulations.

THE FOUR SOULS OF MIBA LEVANTE

MIBA Levante replicates the Milan format that brings together in a single context four vertical events dedicated to different markets that are increasingly called upon to work together to create more sustainable, safe, and accessible buildings.

MADE Expo, an event organized by Made Eventi, arrives in Bari for the first time with MIBA Levante, integrating within it FEL – Festival dell’Edilizia Leggera (the only Italian event vertically dedicated to the world of colour in construction, professional hardware, and building materials distribution), now an integral part of a broader and more systemic exhibition project. FEL confirms itself as a reference hub for lightweight construction and technical finishes, with a focus on solutions for thermal and acoustic insulation, façade and building envelope systems, low environmental impact water-based paints, decorative coatings, drywall, dry construction, and precision professional tools. This offering responds to the needs of a market increasingly oriented toward energy retrofitting, living comfort, and aesthetic quality, with particular attention to the dialogue between technical performance and design.

FEL is also positioned as a high-level training platform: through technical sessions and practical demonstrations, the main market players present the most efficient application methodologies. The integration of FEL within MADE strengthens the overall offering, which also includes windows and closures, high-performance envelopes, construction systems, materials, and solutions for contemporary architecture. An exhibition ecosystem designed to foster dialogue among companies, designers, installers, and distributors, capturing growth opportunities in the Mediterranean market and enhancing Italian know-how in an international perspective.

SICUREZZA, the Fiera Milano exhibition dedicated to security & fire, will also make its debut in Bari. The event will offer an overview of the main solutions for access control, video surveillance, fire protection, and passive protection, with particular attention to the intrusion detection sector, in response to the growing demand in the territory for intelligent and connected systems.
According to the latest data from ANIE SICUREZZA (Italian association of security and building automation), the building security and automation sector exceeded €4 billion in turnover in Italy for the first time in 2024, confirming its expansion phase, and in the first half of 2025, according to preliminary estimates, it maintained a strong growth trend (+9.6% average annual growth). The adoption of new technologies is stimulated by regulatory updates, NRRP investments, and digitalization, which strengthen the strategic role of cybersecurity and the integration of building functions. In Bari as well, the event will reflect this evolution, supporting companies in the technological transformation process and promoting continuous innovation, a distinctive feature of the sector.

SMART BUILDING LEVANTE, the exhibition organized by Pentastudio and Nuova Fiera del Levante, is now in its fifth edition. It is the only high-profile trade fair event of international relevance in Southern Italy dedicated to technological innovation in the homes, buildings, and cities. In a context where digitalization and the energy transition are becoming key drivers for the construction sector, SMART BUILDING LEVANTE will allow professionals from Southern Italy and the Mediterranean to discuss the latest innovations, discover products and systems capable of optimizing comfort, reducing consumption, and intelligently integrating complex functions. Thanks to an educational program developed in collaboration with universities, research centers, and industry associations, the event will also serve as a place for technical updates and networking, where technological innovation will translate into concrete opportunities for designers, builders, and industry operators.

GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition lands in Bari for the first time, bringing the vertical and horizontal mobility sector to the heart of the Mediterranean. Following its second edition at Fiera Milano, GEE offers Bari concrete opportunities for business, networking, and technical updating. With MIBA Levante, GEE aims to capture the growing demand for high-performance solutions in an area characterized by strong demographic and urban dynamism, strengthening the meeting between specialized technological supply and the need to modernize the built environment in the Mediterranean basin.

The appointment with MIBA Levante is in Bari, at Nuova Fiera del Levante, on November 18 and 19, 2026.
