OPTEX launches new short-range indoor LiDAR sensor for high-security environments  

OPTEX, the leading global sensor manufacturer, has launched REDSCAN Lite LiDAR sensor, designed to provide extremely precise and ultra-fast, short-range detection across indoor high-security environments.

As the latest addition to OPTEX’s award-winning REDSCAN LiDAR range, the REDSCAN Lite RLS-1010L has been specifically developed to provide total coverage and protect high-risk security zones and vulnerable, narrow indoor spaces that are difficult to protect with traditional sensors.  The RLS-1010L sensor can, for instance, detect intrusions in the tiny gaps between datacentre server racks within cages, or in ventilation shafts.

Developed for short-range applications, the sensor uses time-of-flight (TOF) technology to accurately and precisely detect intruders within a range of 10mx10m in just 100 milliseconds. The sensors perform reliably in any indoor environment. Their ability to detect intrusion is not affected by changes in temperature or lighting and can even perform in total darkness.

The sensor can be mounted horizontally to create invisible laser planes to protect skylights and ceilings, or vertically to create invisible laser walls to protect server racks, high value assets, access control turnstiles and more.

Installing and configuring the sensor is more efficient and much easier due to a range of user-friendly features. An optional Laser Alignment Tool helps installers visualize the detection area during setup; the sensor’s Automatic Area Correction setting helps prevent overspill outside of the detection zone; and the angle of the LiDAR can be adjusted to match the desired area by simply rotating the side knobs, with no power required.

The REDSCAN Lite RLS-1010L is now available. OPTEX will debut the new REDSCAN Lite on-stand number C41 at the International Security Expo 2025, taking place 30th September – 1st October.

OPTEX je najavio novi sistem za zaštitu perimetra Point Defender PD500, namijenjen za naprednu detekciju provala na kratkim i srednjim udaljenostima. Patentirana tehnologija činit će ga prvim senzorom takve vrste za bakarnu ogradu s tolerancijom na prekid, koji zadržava punu funkcionalnost detekcije čak i ako je detekcijski kabl presječen. Zbog mogućnosti preciznog lociranja zarad napredne detekcije provale, Point Defender PD500 se može koristiti u okruženjima najvišeg nivoa sigurnosti.

 E2EC tehnologija

Point Defender sistem koristi patentiranu End-to-End Correlation (E2EC) tehnologiju za pouzdanu detekciju provalnika s preciznošću od jednog metra na udaljenosti do 500 metara. Sistem je posebno pogodan za objekte gdje je ključna precizna identifikacija mjesta provale, uključujući energetske i komunalne objekte, kritičnu infrastrukturu, skladišta i logističke centre, kao i prestižne poslovne prostore. Point Defender PD500 postiže konzistentnu i ujednačenu detekciju duž cijelog optičkog kabla tako što mjeri prosječan nivo osjetljivosti s oba kraja kabla. Kada dođe do kontakta s ogradom, sistem prepoznaje i odbacuje lažne aktivacije izazvane utjecajima iz okoline, čime osigurava da budu zabilježeni samo stvarni pokušaji provale – poput kidanja, penjanja ili presjecanja ograde.

Riječ je o jedinom senzoru za bakarnu ogradu s tehnologijom otpornosti na prekid kabla, koji osigurava neprekidnu detekciju. Zahvaljujući dvosmjernoj obradi signala, ukoliko dođe do presjecanja ili oštećenja kabla, procesor s desne strane nastavlja detektovati do tačke prekida s te strane, dok onaj s lijeve strane detektuje do tačke prekida s lijeve strane. Na taj način se osigurava da su svi pokušaji provale i dalje zabilježeni i da nema zaštićenog područja bez nadzora. Isto važi i u slučaju kvara jednog od procesora, čime se garantuje da pokrivenost detekcijom nikada nije prekinuta.

Jedinstven sistem na tržištu

Point Defender omogućava pokrivenost od 50 do 500 metara po procesoru i može kreirati virtuelne zone radi unapređenja videonadzora i prilagođavanja specifičnim potrebama pojedinačnih lokacija. Masaya Kida, generalni direktor OPTEX-a za EMEA regiju, ističe da se novi sistem Point Defender PD500 posebno razvija da funkcioniše u zahtjevnim uslovima i na svim vrstama ograda, uključujući palisadne, žičane i druge vrste ograda: “To će biti jedini sistem te vrste na tržištu”, kaže on, “koji nudi tako visok nivo tačnosti u detekciji i patentirane sposobnosti otpornosti na prekid kabla, čime se sprečava kompromitovanje sistema.”
