More than 80 percent of exhibition space at the Adria Security Summit 2026 is already reserved, with the event still months away. The summit takes place October 7–8 at Zagreb Fair (Zagrebački velesajam).

The pace of bookings reflects something broader than event enthusiasm: Southeast Europe has moved up the priority list for global security manufacturers. Infrastructure spending, EU regulatory convergence and rising demand for integrated physical security solutions are pulling international companies into markets they previously treated as secondary. Several are using the Zagreb edition specifically to establish regional distributor and integrator relationships.

Domestic and regional companies have matched that international uptake. The result is an exhibitor mix that looks less like a regional trade show and more like a working market encounter.

“Zagreb sits at a real commercial crossroads between the Adriatic coast and Central Europe,” said Mahir Hodžić, General Manager of the Adria Security Summit. “The booking pace tells us the industry sees Southeast Europe as somewhere to do business now, not later.”

The Adria Security Summit has been officially listed in the global trade fair database of AUMA (the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry), further strengthening its international reputation and market position. The registration also brings tangible benefits for exhibitors. Many national and EU financial support programs rely on the AUMA database when assessing eligibility for co-funding of trade fair participation.

This means that companies taking part in the Summit, in accordance with the rules of their respective national programs, may apply for co-financing of their appearance or other forms of state-backed incentives. Inclusion in the AUMA database further confirms the international character of the event and its importance for the security industry in Southeast Europe, positioning the Summit among recognized professional trade fairs relevant to both global manufacturers and the regional market.

Hikvision Adriatic/Malta organized a three-day technical training session at the Amadria Park resort in Šibenik, bringing together partners and installers from the region. The training was led by presales engineers Andrej Češek and Elvis Ferhatović, who presented the company’s latest solutions through presentations and live demonstrations.

During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore video surveillance and AcuSeek functions combined with the HikCentral Lite platform, as well as thermal cameras. Special attention was also given to access control systems, including new sliding gate solutions, barrier gates, and ANPR license plate recognition.

HD two-wire video intercom systems with a new monitor, AxHybrid Pro G2 solutions, and the HikPartner Pro and Hik-Connect applications for system management and maintenance were also presented. The company thanked all attendees for their active participation and announced new training events at upcoming locations.

Alarm automatika has been granted AEO–C (Authorised Economic Operator) status by the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance, marking an important step forward in the organization of its operations and international trade at the beginning of 2026. The certificate confirms compliance with customs regulations, financial stability, and secure, well-structured supply chain processes. Obtaining AEO–C status represents official recognition of the company’s high operational standards in international logistics and trade activities.

According to the company, the status sends a clear message to partners about the transparency and reliability of its business operations, as well as its long-term approach to cooperation. Among other benefits, the certification includes enhanced control procedures, safer transport of goods, and more efficient customs processes. Alarm automatika also emphasized that timely deliveries and smooth logistics operations are the result of the dedication of many employees, particularly the procurement and operations teams, who contributed to meeting the demanding criteria required to obtain this status.

Aikom Technology participated in the CFWA 2026 (Cloud FWA e Infrastrutture Digitali) event held in Bologna, where it showcased wireless networking and digital infrastructure protection solutions to visitors. At its exhibition space, Aikom demonstrated technologies from Cambium Networks Italia, including the ePMP 4500 platform and the new Protection Pack designed to safeguard infrastructure.

In addition, microwave radio systems from SAF Tehnika were presented, engineered for high-capacity point-to-point connectivity even in complex installation environments. Aikom thanked all partners and visitors who stopped by the booth, emphasizing that cooperation with vendors Cambium Networks Italia and SAF Tehnika is key to implementing joint projects and further developing the wireless communications market.

A new video surveillance system has been implemented at Sofia “Vasil Levski” Airport in the renovated multi-storey parking facility at Terminal 2, in a project delivered by Sectron and Motorola Solutions. The system is based on Pelco by Motorola Solutions cameras and is designed to protect infrastructure with high security requirements.

The solution uses an open platform, ONVIF standard, and advanced video analytics features. The surveillance system enables reliable monitoring of all 930 parking spaces while ensuring full coverage of the garage area. The technology is adapted for continuous operation in high-traffic environments typical of airport transport hubs. The goal of the implementation was to improve the safety of passengers and vehicles while enabling more efficient management of the facility.

The companies emphasized that security was integrated as part of the modernization process rather than added afterward. The project forms part of the broader modernization of one of Bulgaria’s most important transport hubs and contributes to a safer and more reliable environment for travelers.

Kamir opened this year’s cycle of professional events by organizing an educational meeting dedicated to fire detection and fire alarm systems. The event was held in cooperation with partners Apollo Fire Detectors and Advanced, focusing on solutions that today represent a key segment of technical protection across numerous facilities and projects.

Through expert presentations, equipment demonstrations, and hands-on work with demo panels, participants had the opportunity to learn about new products and technical solutions in the field of fire detection. Special emphasis was placed on practical system applications and the exchange of experience between manufacturers and installers.

Lectures were delivered by Alexandra Hristova, Malte Pollmann, Timur Karakas, and Joel Costa, who answered questions and took part in professional discussions with attendees. Kamir emphasized that open communication and direct contact with experts add particular value to such meetings. Strong interest and active participation confirmed the importance of fire protection for the professional community. The company thanked all participants for attending and announced further training sessions and events throughout 2026.

Italian operator Connetta has demonstrated that speeds comparable to fiber connectivity can be achieved using advanced wireless infrastructure, even in the demanding geography of the Apennine mountains. Active in three provinces and serving more than 3,500 customers, the company upgraded its network with support from Aikom Technology and solutions from Cambium Networks. Although FTTC and FTTH networks exist in the area, natural barriers and complex terrain made fiber deployment difficult, so the goal was to reach similar performance with faster implementation.

By introducing ePMP 3000 and Force 300 devices, the operator increased the number of users per sector and improved network stability, while the transition to the ePMP 4000 platform enabled speeds of up to 300 Mbps per user, comparable to fiber connections. The upgrade was carried out gradually, as the new radio units are compatible with existing CPE devices, allowing modernization without service interruption. The compact form factor also simplified installations, including those at hard-to-reach sites.

Users gained higher bandwidth, lower latency, and reliable operation even in adverse weather conditions, with centralized monitoring via the cnMaestro platform for configuration, monitoring, and remote maintenance. Company director Antonio Rosa noted that the operator can now compete with fiber networks even in areas where their deployment is challenging. The project also expanded the service portfolio through the Cambium Protection Pack, providing advanced firewall, SD-WAN, and network service management. The new architecture combines primary connectivity, wireless backup, business Wi-Fi, and cybersecurity protection within a single system, while the network continues to expand and legacy equipment is gradually being replaced.
