Pelco used the atmosphere of the Met Gala, one of the world’s most recognized fashion events, to highlight the capabilities of its Special Modification Request (SMR) program for adapting security devices to various architectural and design requirements. FONESTAR Sistemas announced that its WALLMIX system has been nominated for the Premios AUNA 2026 in two categories within the electrical and AV solutions sector. The AUNA Awards bring together companies and professionals from the fields of electrical engineering, audiovisual technologies, and installation solutions in the Spanish market.

The company invited installers, partners, and users to support WALLMIX through voting, highlighting that the solution was designed to simplify public address and professional audio installations. Synology has introduced the new BC510 and TC510 AI-powered surveillance cameras, bullet and turret models designed for flexible deployment across various security environments. The new devices combine advanced AI analytics, high video quality, and rugged outdoor durability while supporting integration with both the Synology ecosystem and third-party platforms.

According to the company, the cameras are part of Synology’s broader strategy to build a unified surveillance ecosystem that connects cameras, VMS, AI analytics, storage, and cloud services. The BC510 and TC510 support the ONVIF protocol, enabling interoperability with a wide range of existing NVR and VMS platforms, while future support is also planned for Synology’s upcoming VSaaS cloud platform.

The cameras feature IP66 and IP67-rated protection, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. They deliver a resolution of 2880 × 1620 at 30 FPS, with a 110-degree horizontal field of view and up to 30 meters of night vision coverage.

A key focus has been placed on edge AI capabilities, including people and vehicle counting, intrusion detection, and instant search functions processed directly on the camera. This approach reduces server workload while enabling faster real-time data processing and response.

According to SecurityWeek, Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) warned in a recent report about a significant rise in cyberattacks targeting industrial control systems and OT infrastructure, particularly within the water supply sector during 2024 and 2025. The report states that water treatment facilities in several Polish municipalities, including Jabłonna Lacka, Szczytno, Małdyty, Tolkmicko, and Sierakowo, were compromised.

In several incidents, attackers reportedly gained access to industrial control systems and obtained the ability to alter operational equipment parameters, creating risks for operational continuity and public water supply safety. ABW identified weak password practices and internet-exposed systems without adequate protection as the main factors enabling the intrusions.

The report warns that cyberattacks are increasingly shifting from data theft toward attempts to physically disrupt critical infrastructure operations. In addition to water systems, authorities also documented attacks targeting wastewater treatment facilities and waste incineration plants.

ABW further noted that supply chain organizations were also targeted, with attackers seeking access to project documentation, contract data, and authentication credentials that could enable deeper access into infrastructure systems. Polish authorities primarily attribute the activity to hacktivist groups linked to foreign governments, specifically naming Russian groups APT28 and APT29, as well as the Belarus-linked UNC1151 actor.

The Reader itself offers customized setup options to suit individual needs. Switch delay may be set between 1 and 10 seconds, with a choice of activation on key insertion or on removal. Installing and connecting a Reader can put a CLIQ system in control of user access to doors with electric strikes or motorized locks, automatic revolving doors or sliding glass doors, lift priority and more.

In addition, the Outdoor Reader model packs all this convenient functionality into a durable stainless-steel housing designed for exterior use. Secure outdoor credential management with a new Updater

Another new addition to the device range, the CLIQ Updater provides a secure way to add CLIQ key updates outside a building. Because connecting the Updater does not require a network cable, the device is fast and secure to install even on retrofit projects. The Updater is simply linked via RS485 cable to an existing CLIQ Wall PD (Gen 2), up to 200 metres away, with no need for network configuration. All security-related elements remain in the building interior. When connected to a Wall PD featuring a free output switch function (FO1), the Updater can activate third-party devices such as electric strikes.

For installation convenience, all CLIQ Readers and Updaters come in a choice of flush and surface-mounted configurations to suit the specific application. Italian company EL.MO. S.p.A. has upgraded its Superia platform by expanding the functionality of the Passmanager Embedded access control module, enabling direct integration of video surveillance into the system’s control panel. This further reinforces the concept of unifying multiple security functions within a single platform.

The upgrade also introduces support for the PROIBM03 camera, designed for automatic license plate recognition (LPR). This feature enables the automatic opening of gates and barriers for authorized vehicles, provided that their license plates are pre-registered in the system.
