Suprema and Hyundai Launch Development of Residential Solutions with Robotics and AI Security
Suprema has signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Motor Group Robotics LAB and Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) to develop next-generation residential complexes based on service robot technology. The collaboration brings together expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics, and architecture to create integrated and secure living environments for the future.
As part of the project, the companies will jointly develop residential models in which robots can seamlessly perform tasks such as delivery, navigation, and monitoring, supported by advanced security systems. The collaboration will be carried out in multiple phases, including proof-of-concept testing and the commercialization of solutions.
Suprema will be responsible for developing the AI-powered security infrastructure and system integration through its BioStar X platform, connecting robotic and security systems. Hyundai Robotics LAB will focus on developing robot services and technical standards, while Hyundai E&C will provide robot-friendly architectural designs and pilot projects.
“As service robots begin to carry out tasks such as delivery, navigation, and patrol within residential spaces, an AI-powered security infrastructure becomes essential to ensure the safe coexistence of robots and residents. Based on our BioStar X platform and biometric technologies, we aim to lead a new era of residential security together with our partners,” said Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema.
Hyundai emphasized that the integration of robotics, architecture, and security systems will form the foundation of future smart residential complexes, with the goal of enhancing mobility, convenience, and safety for users.
